Actress Sarah Gadon visited Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre in Switzerland to discover the latest ladies’ timepieces presented to her at “the Maison d’Antoine”, a private venue within the heart of the Manufacture, in the XIXth century building.
During her day with Jaeger-LeCoultre, Sarah Gadon discovered a few of the 180 skills involved in developing and producing the most prestigious timepieces. The artisans of the Manufacture display a wealth of imagination in creating exclusive designs, such as the ladies’ Rendez-Vous watches.
Sarah is wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous watch on a steel bracelet
The new model, entirely in keeping with its historical ascendance, vividly evokes the finest hours of Art Deco. Its close embrace of the wrist is made possible by its extremely slender 7.3 mm case which incorporates the complex parts of the swivelling mechanism as well as a movement measuring just 2.95mm thin.
The eye naturally lingers on the pleasing contrasts between the glowing chocolate shade of the watch face and the pink gold of the case, including the traditional gadroons framing the dial.
This irresistible association is further underscored by the reinterpretation of the aesthetic principles governing the original. Delivered along with each watch, the strap made in the Casa Fagliano workshops is distinguished by its elegant suppleness
and hand-made mode of production that makes it truly one of a kind.
Every year since 2007, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Swiss Manufacture has published its Yearbook, a large-format book that draws inspiration from the latest activities of the prestigious watchmakers from the Vallée de Joux in order to provide access to broader cultural and artistic horizons. This is a book in which fine photography, images and language all come together to create a sumptuous work of art.
